The last post for the week is of this little guy. I photographed his mid week and he was so perfect during our photo shoot. He is the oldest ‘newborn’ I’ve ever photographed at 6 weeks old, compared to when I usually see newborns between 4-10 days of their birth. He had the most amazing rolls and was just so delicious in every single way. Normally, newborns cant lift their head that much, but this little guy was able to hold his head up for an extended period of time…here are three of my favorite photographs from the shoot.

Earlier this week, I photographed this beautiful newborn baby. She was peaceful and her full head of hair looked so cute in the photographs. The second photograph shows the baby in a special prop she wanted to use – it is a South Asian device that is used to sieve rice. There were many beautiful moments during the shoot; here are three of my favorite!

I photographed this beautiful family last week. We spent the first half of the shoot indoors and then ventured outside for the second half of the shoot. The girls all looked so pretty in their spring dresses. The youngest was just beginning to walk and it was very exciting to capture this special milestone on camera. I love photographing large families because its simultaneously challenging and very rewarding. Here are a few of my favorite photographs from the shoot!

I photographed the wedding reception of Laila and Zaid a few weekends ago. Laila is Yemeni and Zaid comes from a South Asian background. The two incorporated traditions from both cultures in their beautiful ballroom reception. The day began with a short photo shoot in the bronx park before we headed to the Elan Catering Hall in Lodi, NJ. There was an amazing sword performance by a group of young men to start off the evening. Speeches and dinner followed and then the men and women split into different rooms for festive and celebratory dancing. All the guests were brought back together for the second half of the program that included some South Asian traditions such as the steeling of the grooms shoes by the bride’s friends and the turban toss. I’m so happy I was able to photograph this amazing wedding reception. Congratulations Laila & Zaid!

One of my favorite families had me photograph them a few weeks ago. They are a beautiful family of six and it was so nice to see them all once again. One of my favorite things about photographing families is that I get to be able to capture them as they grow. Here are a few of my favorite photographs from the session.
