Sajed & Sahina’s Bangladeshi Wedding: Part I (Mendhi) {NYC Indian Wedding Photographer}-Flushing, NY

This past July, I photographed Sajed & Sahina’s four day Bangladeshi wedding.   The wedding fell on the weekend of July 21-24, when NY reported its hottest days for the summer with temperatures reaching 106 degrees.  Sahina’s Mendhi was held in a beautifully decorated garden tent.  The decorations were a fusion of Moroccan and Desi style; Sahina’s friends hand-painted some of the centerpieces while Sahina brought back others, including the palkis, from Bangladesh.  Each of Sahina’s close friends and family wore color coordinated outfits.  The photographs show Sahina’s amazing vision of a celebration reflected through color.  Here are a handful of photographs from Sahina’s Mendhi.
