I photographed Marium and Awais’ wedding last month at the Floral Terrace in Floral Park, New York. It was so wonderful being able to photograph this amazing couple’s wedding; Marium is sweet, charming, and kind & Awais caring and loving. Together they make an amazing duo! The wedding day started off with getting ready photographs of the beautiful bride and handsome groom. The Barrat followed with cheerful screams and the blowing of loud festive air horns, announcing the arrival of the groom and his family.
Shortly thereafter, the Nikkah ceremony took place where Marium waited upstairs for the Mula (holy man) to come and seek her approval. After the Nikkah was complete, Marium made her entrance accompanied by her family into the grand ballroom. The newlyweds and I snuck out during dinner for a few photographs outside of the venue. When we returned, family and friends flooded the stage to have portraits taken with the bride and groom. The night ended with the Rukhsati, a farewell ceremony between the the bride and her family.
