I had the best time photographing this family in Binney Park (Connecticut) last week! I photographed them about a year ago in Waveny Park (http://photographybyasiya.com/blog/2011/12/family-fall-photo-shoot-njnyconnecticut-childrens-photographer-waveny-park-new-canaan-ct/) when they had just gotten their pup! Now he is almost a year old and has probably double or tripled in size. This year the family is awaiting the arrival of a new baby. Day Two of Elham and Salim’s wedding was the Nikkah or exchange of vows ceremony. The event took place at Stanmore mosque in Middlesex, UK. Prior to the Nikkah, we ventured to Canon Park for a quick photo shoot before we dashed to mosque for the ceremony. Since the event was separated by gender, I wont be sharing any images from the actual Nikkah ceremony. After the ceremony, all the close family and friends headed to a marquee party celebrating the marriage of the bride and groom. At the end of the night Elham and Salim released a lantern into the sky and it was such a beautiful moment. Here are a few of my favorite images from the festivities.
