I met Shashi & Arun while photographing the birthday party of their friends’ twins. Shashi scheduled a session with me to photograph her 10 month old daughter, Lalitha. One of the most amazing things happened one day before the shoot; Lalitha began walking! During majority of the session, Lalitha walked around, stumbling at times, enjoying her new mode of mobility. It was such an amazing experience being able to photograph Lalitha as she found her feet. I know that it will be a timeless family memory that will live on through the photographs for many years to come. I will be photographing her first birthday and I can’t wait to see how much she has grown since our session!
I recently photographed the first birthday party of two of the most adorable twins. It always amazes me how much babies grown during their first year of life. I love being able to photograph babies multiple times during their first year to be able to capture this amazing transformation.
Parents Kavita and Adam had planned every last detail of the birthday party- from the custom-ordered cakes, to the personalized etsy birth hats- the details were *perfect*.
The twins reaction to having everyone sing was priceless. Asha touched her cake fascinated by the sticky and slippery texture of the frosting. Anand cried, overwhelmed by all the excitement, but then threw his hands into the air and enjoyed the celebration. The birthday was so incredible and I’m so happy to have been able to photograph such a special moment in the twin’s lives.
Today I had the pleasure of photographing 13 day old Roxie, her big brother JJ & her beautiful mother Cheryl. The photo session took place at my home studio in Edgewater, New Jersey. When it was time for JJ to get his photograph taken with Roxie, he was beaming-he held his younger sister with care and a gentle touch. I know he will make a great big brother. I recently had the pleasure of photographing the most precious 8 day old baby girl at my home studio in Edgewater, NJ. The session lasted a few hours with breaks for feeds and set changes. One of the most amazing things about photographing a newborn is that the newborns change so much after their first few days of life. Photographs hold the power of capturing memories in a way that nothing else can.
Today I spend the day with my lovely sister, Ateqah, roaming around the Metropolitan Museum of Art creating photographs of the amazing artwork at the museum. Inspired by my sister’s beautiful photo-creations, I used my SLR to take the photographs and then edited them using the instagram app on my new iPhone 4.
